



About Dr. Lushanya Echeverria

Dr. Lushanya is a professional educator, alternative practitioner and spiritual teacher. Her research focuses on connection and learning using indigenous story telling. Her work is based in trauma-theory and the lifelong psychological effects called post-traumatic stress disrodrder (PTSD). Dr. Lushanya's current research focuses on Disassociate Disorder caused by acute and chronic childhood boundary erosion. She is a trauma worker helping individuals heal deep-rooted psychological effects of present and intergenerational trauma.
Dr. Lushanya is a teacher with heart - Her superpower is a great love, compassion and empathy for her students, community members, and humanity. In service to her community, she leads through acknowledging, recognizing, and fostering the unique gifts of individuals to empower stronger communities. She is a facilitator of sacred journeys and ceremonies and remains grounded and guided by the forces of the Great Spirit in all that she does.
Utilizing a combination of different healing modalities, Dr. Lushanya helps individuals address physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances. Lushanya is trained in cranial sacral therapy, shamanic soul retrieval, Shadowwork, Trauma Theory, and incorporates these modalities as a steward and facilitator of sacred ceremonies. She believes in teaching people how to bring sacred practice into their own lives each and every day, thus empowering people with the tools to help them create a life that they love to live. Lushanya helps people to find and awaken their spirit from within.

Dr. Echeverria specializes in organizational development to cultivate cultures of connection using Indigenous practice and pedagogy. Trained and guided by her mother, Beverly Littlethunder, she is the director of educational programming for Kunsi Keya Tamakoce, a spiritual retreat center sharing the practices, beliefs, and ceremonies of her matriarchal Lakota heritage. The mission of Kunsi Keya Tamakoce is to connect community members to the earth and share teachings on how to live in balance and harmony with Mother Earth. This work is done through teaching spiritual connection, community development, sustainable land practice, and leadership development.
